Every new beginning is hard and means overcoming many problems. It was also the case with the Restoration Workshop at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, VSB-TU Ostrava.
After a period of searching for suitable premises, carrying out construction work, providing acquisition of the necessary equipment, machines, instruments and tools, the workshop has been put into full operation. Today, it meets previously set objectives, i.e. the restoration of at least one historical motorcycle per year. It also serves to promote the university, region, and provide technical education. All this, of course, is done with the participation of students and helps to form their final thesis focused on the issue of repairs, maintenance and preservation of vintage means of transport.
In this section, we will be happy to present all the results of our restoration workshop efforts, professionally carried out under the requirements of the Turin Charter.
