It is a two-stroke engine with a capacity of 172.6 cm3 and power 4.1 kW. Bore / stroke: 57.2 / 67 mm.
The engine is a licensed Villiers engine, three-channel single cylinder with deflector. The cylinder is cast from cast iron and has an aluminum removable head (Jawa's own construction) with radially arranged ribs. In the head there is a decompressor controlled by a lever on the handlebars and a candle.
The engine was used in Jawa 175 Villiers motorcycles, which were manufactured in Prague II Nusle.
Year of production: 1932 - 1934.
